I know how much I wanted a wolfie and I was lucky to have my dream –  several times over. I have had five IW’s and they have been so lovely to know. Each one has had a distinct character and they have all been kind and loving to people. I only ever have had dogs and never have had a bitch. We have also had a spaniel, a Bouvier des Flandres and a Jack Russell as companion dogs. I love all dogs but to me, wolfies are the most wonderful companions. They are known as “hearthounds”… for good reason.

Cu Sha @ 13 months old,

he was 3 mnths when we got him and he went, in 13 months, from being a really tiny puppy into a >pup< that is as big as a grown man.
(… but sweeter)
IWs do not grow up fully until they are 3 years old.
The whole dog stays a puppy for a long while … however, their jaws make a pretty good job of chewing from early on. I have a considerably smaller sartorial choice than before he arrived. He was really fond of having a good chew on fabric, he destroyed a very large number of hats, gloves, scarves and all manner of clothing.
Many years ago, we carried 4 hand-made Tibetan rugs back from Nepal. (They were on the heavy side)
Since then we have had 8 dogs, 5 of them IWs and only Beloved Cu Sha has chewed the rugs – they all now have corners missing. None of our other dogs have chewed anything much that was not theirs in the first place.
Hmm this Wolf Boy has made up for it.
